A Photo History
of the Library
Then and Now: a
Photo History of the Fond du Lac Public Library
will be on exhibit in the Langdon Divers
Community Gallery at the library from September 1 – 27. The display is a visual history of the
library from 1876 to present. The
photographs are taken from the library’s archives. From a collection of 1,427 books in
1877, to a collection of more than 200,000 items today, the library has changed
dramatically over the past 130 years.
The public is invited to take a step back in time and learn about the
rich history of one of our community’s most valuable
resources.

E-Books
An e-book is a digital version of a printed book that can be viewed online from any computer connected to the Internet. It is the full text of the book. E-books are listed in the Library’s catalog and are available through Netlibrary.com. You must first create a free account. Go to the Library’s website, www.FDLPL.org. Click on “E-books” on the left side. Type in your library card number and PIN (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number.) This takes you to Netlibrary. Click on “Create an Account” and type in a user name and password. (Hint: write it down for later reference.) Fill in the rest of the information. You should now be able to search for e-books and read them online.
