New
collection brings comfort to children of deployed military
A new collection in the library’s Children’s Center, “While We Wait,” provides resources for children who are or have experienced separation from loved ones due to military deployment. The collection was donated to the library from the Wisconsin Military Kid’s Project, which builds partnerships to increase capacity for youth, families, and communities to support youth of military families. The 33 books in the collection include titles such as, “Miss You: A Military Kid’s Book about Deployment,” “Soldier Mom” and “Red, White and Blue Goodbye.” The collection is in the Children’s Center and available to everyone.
